October 4, the most waited day for smartphone users. The anticipated launching of the new iPhone 4S has finally happened. People are so happy and so excited to know what Apple has in store for them. But the happiness brought by the release of iPhone 4S was later replaced by tears and sadness.
On October 5, 2011, Wednesday, Apple sadly announced the death of its co-founder Steve Jobs. For almost 3 days it has been the content of almost all headlines in newspapers and internet news sites. It has been trending in twitter and the status of almost all Facebook users.
Steve Jobs is the brain behind the most popular iPod which was released in 2001. This device allows you to store songs, movies and pictures making them available to you wherever you go. A year after, he invented iPhone, a touch screen handset that does not act only as mobile phone but also a device for photo editing, managing money, playing games as well as social networking. An iPhone can also be used as an organizer and an iPod since it allows storage of music, movies, and pictures too.
In 2010, Jobs have given another life transforming device known as the iPad. A PC tablet that allows you to manage your documents, browse the net and a good tool for note-taking. Some analysts say that no one really needs an iPad but it still hit a large market since the day it was introduced.
Jobs’ life was not that ideal to some. He was adopted shortly after his birth by Paul and Clara Jobs. Jobs started making computer in his parents’ garage with his high school friend. He dropped out from college because he finds it useless since he does not know at that moment where he wants to go. He also thinks that it is too expensive for his middle-class parents.
Jobs, was also kicked out from Apple the company that he co-founded. He was forced to resign as chairman and was later removed from the company during the time when Apple was having a financial difficulty. After he left Apple, he ventured to another companies and he later put up Pixar and NeXT. Few years later, he sold Pixar to Disney and NeXT to Apple and later became the CEO of the company. Since then, Apple has been more successful than ever and become the second- largest company in the United States by 2011.
But nothing lasts long. The innovative era of Steve Jobs has finally come to an end. Steve Jobs will be remembered by the people as one of the legendary leaders of innovations. His inventions did not only set a new standard among its competitors but it also drastically changed the present day people’s way of living. Due to his inventions, the world can say that life will never be the same again.
